HOW TO FREE

Understanding brainwashing
and mind control

THIS IS SITE IS FOR ACADEMIC AND NON-COMMERCIAL PURPOSES ONLY

This site investigates issues surrounding brainwashing and recovery. It is an in depth academic assessment of the subject. Both the website and research document (download below) discuss the origin of modern mind control techniques. They examine the psychology and technology involved in brainwashing.

Organisations and individuals have used these techniques to exploit others to gain control. It is important to understand these techniques so we can regain our freedom. We need accurate information and a correct perception of reality to make informed decisions. It is essential to be aware of when you are being conditioned by what is around you.

Understanding that we are being manipulated is the first step to freeing ourselves. In a world that is often chaotic, maintaining your personal freedom and identity is crucial. Free your mind. Your life will follow.

How to free
yourself

Recovery from trauma involves understanding how to free
your mind from negative patterns. The more work you put
into recovery, the faster the mind adapts to positive thoughts.

1. Be a good person

Do want you want to do, just stay within the law whenever possible. Respect the rights of others.

Sometimes it’s worse to be
a sinner than to break the law.
It’s much more trouble.

It’s harder to exploit a good person. Good people do not co-operate with bad ideas/people.

Keep in touch with friends and family. Remember to support others.

Go for help when you need to.
You have the right to call the police and other organisations.

2. Say NO to bad people

If you keep saying NO, people cannot bully or exploit you.

Bullies will go away if you always stand up for yourself. They look for vulnerable people who can’t say NO.

Abusers try to control your mind,
not just your life. Bullies lie to appear in control when they are not.

Abusers blame the victim.
Recognise when you are being
lied to, bullied or manipulated.

You control your own life.
It is your life and belongs to you.

3. Free yourself,
free everyone

99% brainwashing is lies.
The 1% of truth comes from you.
Only believe what you know for a fact.

Once you believe a lie, abusers will
continue to lie and add to their deception. They try to create a
false reality through gaslighting.

Listening and being understanding helps others see the reality of their situation and free themselves.

Free your mind and your life.
When you understand that
you are free, you will be.

THE FAMILY
TREE

Tree

A System of Belonging and Power

Many organisations operate like a family tree—hierarchical, tightly bonded, and often closed to outsiders. Membership is often inherited or selectively granted, and roles are clearly defined. This structure can offer emotional support, purpose, and belonging—but it can also become a mechanism of control. Examples include:

Criminal networks, such as the Sicilian Mafia, which rely on loyalty and blood ties.

Religions like the Catholic Church, where leadership flows from the Pope down to local clergy.

Military organisations, with ranks and duties clearly defined.

The security services, family backgrounds usually need at least 3 generations of clearance for someone to be recruited. Every detail of a person’s life and their social contacts are assessed. This prevents infiltration by other groups.

Cults, such as the NXIVM group, which used hierarchy and secrecy to control members.

Family-run businesses, like the Murdoch media empire, where leadership often stays within the family.

Brainwashing
TECHNIQUES & ORIGINS

Brainwashing and mind control involves a number of different techniques. These include:

  • Isolation – separated from family and friends
  • Sleep deprivation – long hours chanting, exercise or any hours of overwork
  • Sensory deprivation – locked in empty rooms
  • Financial abuse
  • Emotional abuse – constant cruelty or demeaning someone. This can include name calling and insults as well as constant criticism.
  • Dehumanisation – losing your sense of self and replacing it with the needs / style of the group. For instance, changing your name to something insulting (one of the most basic types of knowledge of self from infancy)
  • Repetitive music or chanting – Induces alpha waves in the brain leaving the subject more susceptible to suggestion.
  • Humiliation
  • Peer pressure
  • Positive and negative reinforcement
  • Fear – threats and lies
  • Physical abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Drug use – LSD and other drugs used to destabilise sense of self
  • Total reliance on the group – emotional, financial, housing, jobs, relationships
  • Language manipulation where the meaning of words has special significance to the group. Creating internal logic for the group and making it difficult to break out of the group ideology and indoctrination
  • Using therapy and healing as a tool of indoctrination

The history of
mind CONtrol
technology

Dr Delgardo’s 1950’S research

Dr Delgardo’s implantable transponder used electrical stimulation to gain physical control, control of mood and behaviour through his radio-controlled implants. Several different areas of the brain were connected to electrodes. His work was tested on humans and animals. He most famously controlled a bull and stopped it charging.
